- Understanding Behaviour
In this workshop you will learn how to define behavior, including examples of appropriate and challenging behavior. You will learn how to apply the Antecedent-Behaviour-Consequence (A-B-C) Model, looking at the different functions of behavior and general teaching strategies.
- Sleep Solutions
This workshop is aimed at sharing information on common sleep challenges in children and provides practical sleep strategies to help you and your child sleep better.
- Toilet Learning: Let’s Talk About Your Expectations
This workshop will focus on strategies to help you and your child during the development of skills necessary to become toilet trained.
- One Bite At A Time
This workshop is aimed at helping you develop strategies to address eating challenges your child may have.
- Developing Communication Skills
In this workshop, you will learn about basic communication skills. There will be a focus on forms and functions of communication as well as strategies to enhance communication.
- Teaching Social Communication Skills
Social communication includes the ability to introduce, extend and maintain topics, request clarification if needed, and respond to peers. In this workshop, you will learn some strategies to use when teaching conversational skills to young children.
- Transition to Kindergarten
The focus of the workshop includes information about the new full day kindergarten (FLK) program, how the parent of a special needs student begins the dialogue with the education system in the transition to elementary level schooling, where parents and/or guardians can access information about options, rights, and School Board obligations, and how parents can best navigate both the regular and special education systems in the best interest of their children to become the best learners they can be given their challenges.

This workshop is offered to individuals diagnosed with ASD aged 14-17 years. The objective of the group is to provide respite for family members and to develop social skills of youths with ASD.

This workshop will introduce basic techniques of behavior management. The techniques focus on teaching new behaviours or replacement skills and reducing behaviours that are problematic.
